It really amazes me.. I have 4 Angel Card decks in total. I have done lots of readings at this point, and still it seems the same cards come over and over. I get so excited when I get to read a new card, lol. I do also like the familiar cards, as I get a feel for them immediately and it’s easier for me to understand what they are saying. It amazes me because nothing is a coincidence. I have checked these decks over, to see why I keep pulling the same cards, but these cards were no different than the other 45 cards in the deck. This tells me that these cards are what is meant to be. The cards are always right. So let’s look at them closely and see what they have to say to us for the week ahead.
Fairies – this card is reminding us that we all need to reconnect with nature. In this digital age, it’s easy to go without really spending time and connecting to nature. We walk or run with our iPhones cranked, distracted by podcasts and web blogs, viral videos and advertisements. We say hi to the neighbour in passing, then continue our thoughts into our to-do lists, or planning what to make for supper. We don’t take the time to truly stop and smell the roses. To just breathe, be, and connect as one with nature. Not only should we appreciate nature, but we should connect to it. Sit with your back up to a tree and feel it’s energy. Plant something, even some spices on your window sill. Go stand out in the grass in your bare feet, or better yet, lay down with your whole body, and feel your connection to Mother Earth. Every flower, tree or shrub you tend to is a living being, so treat them all with care, respect and love. When you do, the fairies reward you many times over. Thank the fairies while your there.
Crystals – in this card we see an Amethyst crystal cave bathed in the water from a river, the points of light representing the spiritual force that these crystal beings generate. Amethyst, as well as other Quartz crystals, have been used for thousands of years in magic and healing, as well as intensifying psychic capabilities. The nature of quartz crystals is that they help focus the power of our life force, or spirit. (I wear an Amethyst on my necklace, and close to my heart, almost always!) Where attention goes, power flows – and crystals magnify this power tenfold. Our intention influences where our attention goes. When we can be consciously aware of our intention, it facilitates the focus of that spiritual power, to support the manifestation in material reality. It is time to focus on what we want! And only what we want! Well, that’s easy to say; it’s easy to get distracted when darker feelings bring us down. The best thing we can do is try our best to get our intention back in the positive, and back to attracting the things we truly want in our life! Wether this is a project, relationship, or simply time spent in nature, be fully present in the situation. This sharpening of focus will expand your awareness, and help you to more easily know what it is you want to focus on and manifest in your life. Keep your eyes, ears and heart focused on that which you need to pay attention to, and miracles can be created.
Lotus Flower – the lotus flower sits upon one of its leaves, having risen to the surface as the sun invites it upward toward the light. At night the flower sinks below the surface, only to rise with daylight. What we learn from this amazing plant is how our own spiritual path unfolds and opens to the light, then at times gently folds in on itself for a proper rest when the daylight fades. This period is just as necessary for growth, for it allows the plant to integrate what it has gained in nourishment that day. Your spiritual unfoldment is occurring at all times, wether or not you are aware of it. Like the lotus, your soul is always reaching for the light to fulfill its karmic destiny, but even in that process there are periods of darkness and times to rest. It is a natural cycle, one that cannot be truly coerced or halted. It has an intimate rhythm of its own, one that is unique to you. You do not need to strive for spiritual growth, or be driven by spiritual ambition. It does no good to try to force growth upon yourself. Just be your beautiful self, and love yourself and the world around you as much as you can. Allowing is the key here. Allow the place in you that naturally wants to follow the light, to do so, while recognizing that even when you have complete faith, you will face challenges and, occasionally, suffering. Your steady faith and love will guide you on your journey of returning to the light.
