The crystals I am working with for the week are Jet, Apache Tears, Blue Goldstone and Black Tourmaline. I use these crystals to connect to your energy, to connect to the message meant for you, and to send the healing properties of the crystals to you.
Jet – Purifies and protects. Protects against sickness, negative energy and violence. Protects finances and business pursuits. Good for cleansing the aura. Has a calming energy and heals grief. Eases anxiety and depression, calming anxious or fearful thinking. Brings about inner growth, increase self-reliance, and ease change in any areas of life. Used to treat ailments ranging from epilepsy, migraines, colds, lymphatic problems, congestive heart failure, tumors, toothache, stomach pains, menstrual cramps, fertility of male and female, scrofula (lymphatic tuberculosis), clinical depression, manic-depression or bipolar disorder, liver, kidney, and glandular problems.
Apache Tears – The Legend of the Apache Tear is this: One day a party of Apache Indians was ambushed by an enemy tribe. The Apaches fought bravely but were greatly outnumbered and driven to the top of a high bluff. Their arrows gone and unable to fight and unwilling to be taken captive, they leaped from the cliffs to their death. Their women were understandably grief-stricken and wept over the bodies. Their teardrops froze when they hit the ground to become the lovely stones we know today as Apache Tears. It is said that whomever owns one of these stones will never cry again, for the Apache women shed enough tears already. Apache Tears are said to relieve grief and sadness. They assist in giving and accepting forgiveness. They can help release negative emotions and balance one’s emotional state. They are good luck stones, said to bring good luck to anyone who has one. Apache Tears are a gently grounding stone. Apache Tears are reputed to alleviate muscle spasms and eliminate toxins from the body.
Blue Goldstone – A good deflector of unwanted energies. Highly regarded as a protection mineral. It is a nervous system stimulant and enhances transmission of healing energies from the hands. Protects the psychic and empathic sensitivities. While this is technically a man-made piece, it does contain copper, which in itself is extremely helpful in the areas of inflammation and increasing ones blood flow.
Black Tourmaline – Grounding stone. A well known purifying stone that deflects and transforms negative energy. It can transform and remove negativity from an individual or an environment. It is often used as an aura cleanser, and can help one attain higher levels of awareness. Also used for repelling and protecting one from black magick, evil spirits, and is often said to return the negative spell to the sender. Deflects EMF radiation from tv’s, computers, etc.
You can tell by the crystals that we are moving into the Christmas season. A time when we need to be protected from energies around us. A time when we need to protect ourselves from negative energy. You may be experiencing anxiety or grief during this season, and these crystals are here to help you ease those emotions. We are also being reminded of purification, so be mindful of overindulging or doing things that are harmful to your mind, body, spirit. Let’s see what the cards have to tell us for the week.
The cards tell us to have faith and trust this holiday season. Try to let go of worry and stress, and know everything will work out. Turn to your trusted friends and family to get support. Take time to rest and rejuvenate yourself. Give yourself love instead of feeding yourself worry. When you allow yourself rest and give yourself love, you can trust in the universe will provide all the resources you need. Relax and enjoy the holiday season!
Camel – Sometimes it feels like your on a journey across a vast, lifeless desert that stretches beyond the horizon with no end in sight. Traipsing across the seemingly barren landscape before you, your thirst for comfort and solace during these times can most readily be satisfied by looking to your inner resources. All the experiences you’ve had in your life time, the challenges you’ve successfully faced, and the wealth of knowledge you’ve accumulated can be called on to not only cope with any type of adversity that presents itself, but to help you move forward with courage and determination. First, identify where you want to go and then proceed slowly, steadily, and deliberately toward that objective. As you move along, castaway your fears, doubts, and hesitations wherever they arise, letting the four winds lift them up to the sun to be burned away. Ease your mind and heart, and know that all is well and that you’re protected at all times. Call upon those helping spirit to have assisted you up until this point in your journey. You have what it takes, and you will get through this! Associations: Resourcefulness; Determination; Steadiness; Fortitude; Endurance; Stamina; Focus; Optimism; Containment; Centeredness; Adaptability; Equality; Justice; Strength; Survival; Replenishment; Positivity; Accomplishment
Meerkat – The people in your life would love to offer their support to you, your only job is to receive it and, indeed, sometimes even ask for it. Those whom you feel closest to and trust the most are the individuals you can rely on to be there for you, especially when you really need it. People who are dealing with dire illnesses and have the support of friends and family members usually fair the best, however, you certainly don’t need to experience such an extreme situation to take advantage of the love and care that others have to offer. Write down a list of names of people you trust the most, and then go back through it and identify three traits in each of these individuals that makes you trust them. When you’re finished, you’ll not only have a good idea of the qualities in those you rely on, but you’ll also have a clear notion of the characteristics that make a person trustworthy in your eyes. Sure, you’ve been burned or disappointed at one time or another when you trusted someone and were let down or betrayed. Everyone has experienced this. So now you may be afraid that if you let others in and count on them for support, something similar will happen. Those memories, consciously or subconsciously, will not only filter out any chance of being disappointed or hurt, it will also serve to keep others who are trustworthy at a distance. Look under that filter and listen to what your gut instinct tells you about a particular individual. How do they match up with the list of characteristics you find trustworthy? Take a chance and let yourself receive love and support. Associations: Family; Community; Group Support; Vigilance; Observation; Intelligence; Energy Conservation; Communication; Resilience; Protectiveness; Grooming; Playfulness
Goose – The irony of this is that by restricting and conserving your energy, you can actually mobilize your internal resources for the next cycle of work and accomplish that much more. In this fast-paced world with all of its pressures that impinge upon you, it’s difficult to take regular periods of time off, yet it’s critical to your health and well-being to do so. Let this rest period be an opportunity when you do the things that help your body recover from the stresses and strains of your most recent activities. Sleep in, get a massage, spend some time playing with a friend, take a salt bath, get out of town and explore the woods, anything that will bring you peace of mind. At the conclusion of a long spell of continuous, stressful activity, even when it has been productive, many people don’t allow themselves a period of respite, and instead jump into another task right away without relaxing and enjoying the fruits of their labor. It’s most unnatural, but in a caffeinated society were technology has created instant access to phones, emails, and Internet, it’s easy to give away your power of choice by reacting to a false sense of immediacy and urgency to these trappings of civilization. Turn off your phone and computer, and enjoy the sunset. These periods of rest needn’t be lengthy, but you do need to implement them, especially right now. Associations: Perseverance; Migration; Levelheadedness; Loyalty; Family; Determination; Resourcefulness; Quest; Integrity; Purposeful; Imprinting; Compassion; Conservation
