TV Show Review – Last Man on Earth – 4.3/5

It has been a while since I’ve done a TV Show review! Mostly I’m watching my usuals, Survivor and Big Brother, etc., but this show really caught my attention and I don’t think it’s as well-known as it deserves to be, so I wanted to share it with you!

The premise: In 2022, a cataclysm strikes Earth, seemingly wiping out the population, except for former family man and bank employee Phil Miller. Sad and very lonely, Phil travels the United States, Canada and Mexico in his RV searching for other survivors. Striving to hold onto hope that there is at least one other living person, he tries to make the best of circumstances until his path finally crosses with that hoped-for other survivor — and all becomes more comforting that the person happens to be a woman. As more survivors turn up, complications arise and Phil finds it difficult to co-exist with others again.

Will Forte stars as the main character, Phil Miller, and has a wonderful comedic delivery that he brings to the character and series. The rest of the cast are wonderful too! This show is the epitome of the end-of-the-world concept, where everyone is being taken out by a virus, so the rest of the world remains intact to act as a playground for the few survivors. They also find themselves in plenty of predicaments.

The show has a 4 star rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 95% liking on Google. Unfortunately, it has not been scheduled to return for a 5th season, although I do believe its popularity is gaining since it has been airing on Netflix. I seriously love this show, and I know you will too! I would rate this show a 4.3 out of 5! Make sure you check it out!

Movie Review – Dumb and Dumber To

IMG_1366.JPG

Although this movie did have me chuckling here and there, I felt a little disappointed after I watched it. The first Dumb and Dumber had such a good solid story line. I felt this film was grasping at straws to do anything to make it work. Maybe more time should have been put into the script? I’m not sure, I’m no professional film maker. I don’t feel their age was a barrier to the success of the film, but it did seem kind of cheesy to me, or like they struggled to make it work. Still some good humour, not a complete bomber, and totally still worth a watch. I would rate the film 6.2 out of 10. This blog is just my opinion!

Movie Review – Walk of Shame

walk of shame

I had to post a review for Walk of Shame, because I just loved it and thought it was so funny. A great girls night movie or date night movie! Elizabeth Banks is really an all around good actress in the film, funny without going overboard. I love how the cats hate her and Pookie was a good laugh too. The predicaments she gets in, although outrageous, could easily happen to everyone and probably have at some time. It also really highlights how we are judged based on our appearances, but lets not take this film that seriously… Let’s enjoy it for its comedy merit. I would rate this movie a 6.8 out of 10. That is just my opinion!

TV Review – Brooklyn Nine Nine

Brooklyn Nine Nine

I have been so hooked on Brooklyn Nine Nine, we have been watching it on Netflix. OMG, this show is hilarious! Although it is based around them being a NYPD police squad, it doesn’t feel like a “cop” show. They are so average and ordinary and geeky and funny! Andy Samberg is a huge laugh! The supporting cast is also hilarious, which makes it an all around hit. Terry Crews it the laugh you come to expect and love from him, and Chelsea Peretti has found a new fan in me. It’s such a solid show, I can say there is nothing about it that I don’t like. My boyfriend would probably say that’s rare! Once we started watching, there was no stopping until we finished Season One. If you are looking for an all around funny sit-com, I would recommend this to anyone. I would rate this show 9 out of 10, that’s just my personal opinion. Thank you for stopping by my blog! Your likes and comments are appreciated!

Movie Review – Anchorman 2

I thought this movie was hilarious!! It kept me laughing all the way through. Especially the part when he goes blind. Anchorman is one of my favorite films, a classic comedy that never gets old. Will Ferrell just can’t be beat for humour, and Ron Burgundy is his best role, I would say. Christina Applegate has been a favorite of mine since “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead”. Paul Rudd and Steve Carell are solid as always too, and also are favorites of mine. I would give this film a 7.8 out of 10. This blog is just my opinion.
