Imbolc – Feb 1-2

Imbolc or Imbolg, also called Saint Brigid’s Day, is a Gaelic traditional festival. It marks the beginning of spring, celebrating light and fertility, honouring the first stirrings of life. It is held from February 1st and goes until sundown on February 2nd, which is about halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. The earliest mentions of Imbolc in Irish literature date back to the 10th century.

Imbolc represents purification, renewal, reflection, fertility and illumination. As the days begin to grow longer and with the return of the Sun, Imbolc is the time to visualize life flourishing with abundance, creativity and renewed strength.

To celebrate Imbolc, focus on celebrating the Goddess Brigid. For Christians, it is the feast day of Saint Brigid. To celebrate this time, you can set up an altar with the symbols of Brigid, like a corn husk or straw doll, white flowers, a bowl of milk, and candles. It is a perfect time to plants seeds or bake. Have a nice feast. Light candles or turn lights on in every room after sunset to celebrate the return of the light. Imbolc is a Fire Festival and fire of all kinds is associated with Brigid – the fire of creativity, the protective hearth fire, and her fire wheel – the Brigid Cross, which heralds her as a Sun Goddess.

Some altar items for inspiration:

  • Incense. Myrrh, frankincense, and musk are good for creating a ritual space. Basil, rosemary, and cinnamon are good for uplifting energy
  • White, red, or orange candles
  • Sun symbols
  • Snowdrops (first flower of spring) or daffodils
  • A tabletop fountain
  • Something woolen or a sheep figure
  • A triskele or other triple goddess symbol
  • Early greens like wild garlic
  • A blue cloth representing flowing water
  • Crystals with solar or passionate associations: citrine, garnet, amber, sunstone

Foods:

  • Bannock – A traditional skillet bread
  • Butter – In some traditions butter was churned the same day of the festival
  • Milk – You can drink it, or use it in a spiritual bath. Milk and butter are associated with Brigid’s healing and protective powers
  • Pancakes – Whether plain or with berries, the shape of pancakes evokes the sun
  • Cheese – Rich sheep’s cheeses harken back to Imbolc’s origins
  • Colcannon – A traditional Irish dish made with potatoes and greens

Weekly Angel Card Reading – Week of September 2, 2018

The crystals I am working with for the week are Chevron Amethyst, Pink Agate & Fluorite. I use these crystals to connect to your energy, to connect to the message meant for you, and to send the healing properties of the crystals to you.

Chevron Amethyst – Combines the strengthening and enhancing qualities of Quartz with the stress relieving qualities of Amethyst. Great for seeing some of the hidden meanings in life. Use it to help remove resistance to change, and to dissipate and repel negativity of all kinds. Chevron Amethyst creates a strong healing field around the user, and as such, is a good choice to cleanse the aura and to enhance the immune system.

Pink Agate – Pink Agate affects the heart like a stone thrown into a pool, sending rings and ripples radiating out to heal old pain, despair and heartaches. It replaces pain with joy. Pink agate calms, comforts and provides security. It eases stress, promotes unconditional love for others and the understanding that you are loveable. Pink agate offers positive self image.

Fluorite – Promotes spiritual and psychic wholeness and development. Brings protection and peace. It is used to clear energy fields and aura. Fluorite is a stone of mental order and clarity. This brings a wiser, more balanced view of life and improves decision making. These traits enable one to manifest ideas and bring plans to fruition. Relieves anxiety, tension, and stress. Fluorite can reduce fear of the future, as well as ease anger and depression.

I chose these crystals, and I was happy because they were bright and beautiful, and I thought the message would be more upbeat this week. It makes sense, that the message continues on from what we have been hearing, in that we are working through releasing deep rooted issues and trauma, and that we are becoming wiser and powerfully manifesting now. The crystals are telling me, we need to be bright, bold and beautiful, even when we are working through issues. It is important to be positive and feel joy as much as you can, to combat the negative feelings. We need to work on our own development and find ways to feel more whole. This starts with making better decisions for ourselves. Listen to what your heart tells you, and make the changes in your life that are positive for you. We are so fearful of failure, based on how we perceive and compare our lives to others, and we cause ourselves so much anxiety. The truth is, there is nothing to fear. Don’t worry about what other people are doing, just do what is right for you and makes you happy and fulfilled. You are no less than any human on this planet. The most successful people fail, but at least they are out there trying. You can’t be seen if you don’t put yourself out there. You have zero chance if you don’t even try… and you have so much to gain! You have to let go of those fears, and know that you are worthy. You are loveable, and you can have everything you want in life. Don’t resist change, embrace it. Put yourself out there. Find joy in whatever your day holds. Seize every opportunity. It is never too late to be happy. Let’s see what the Fairies have to add!

Seven of Spring is confirmation to put yourself out there and be assertive. There is no reason to hide away from life. Be who you want to be, and do what you love, and don’t allow anyone to tell you differently. Try the things you want to try. Be courageous in your life. Use your courage to overcome insecurities and negativity. Use logic and be smart about your choices and how your setting yourself up. Get organized and be prepared, it will reduce your stress. You have a lot of power and people look up to you, which is why you need to be assertive and put your talents and leadership into the world. The Emperor Card is a major arcana card, representing a major life change… notice how it says “Worldly success”… there are some big opportunities coming for those who are ready to accept the challenge. This is the time. There are so many opportunities that are, or will, present themselves, if you put yourself out there. YOU ARE MORE THAN WORTHY. Be fearless and pursue your dreams!

Weekly Angel Card Reading – Week of September 3, 2017

The crystals I am working with for the week are Rhodochrosite, Rainbow Moonstone and Rose Quartz. I use these crystals to connect to your energy, to connect to the message meant for you, and to send the healing properties of the crystals to you.

Rhodochrosite – Dispels insecurities, increases love, power, and improves self-worth. Enhances dreams and imagination. Helps us to face problems in a positive way without avoidance or denial. It balances and enhances love on all levels. It balances the mental and emotional processes.

Rainbow Moonstone – Has a gentle, calming energy. It helps to strengthen intuition and psychic perception, and enhances creativity, compassion, endurance and inner confidence. It is a stone that brings balance, harmony, and hope. The Rainbow effect brings in a spectrum of light, and can help with clearing and bringing in uplifting energies. It has been said to have the power to grant wishes. Rainbow Moonstone encourages introspection, yielding easier decision making. It also enhances one’s emotional vision, bringing greater creative abilities and freedom of expression. This is enhanced by Rainbow Moonstone’s ability to open one up to increased synchronicity that we often cannot see due to being wrapped up in our daily routines. Rainbow Moonstone can also offer increased patience and allowing, so those newly found synchronicities can flow into our lives unimpeded. A stone of intuition and insight, Moonstone helps us to connect to all the different cycles we experience in life. Moonstone helps balance the emotional body, especially any aggressive tendencies. Many people find moonstone to be very soothing and use it to help relieve stress.

Rose Quartz – A stone of unconditional love that opens the heart chakra. Enhances every type of love. Bringing love into life and daily situations not only brings inner warmth, but it also lowers stress and soothes those around it. Rose Quartz also inspires the love of beauty, in oneself and others, in nature, and especially that which stimulates the imagination – art, music and the written word. A very happy stone. It is used to raise self-esteem and gives a strong sense of self-worth. Its loving energies teach us to apply this love to ourselves and thereby find ourselves more worthy. It is used to balance emotions and bring peace and calm. This calm emotional balance brings stress relief and easing of anxiety. All these things carry energies of forgiveness, tolerance, and compassion, enabling us to see the good in both ourselves and others.

Balance and calm is key. Be gentle. Love yourself. And I mean REALLY love yourself. Deep down to your core. Forgive yourself as much as you need, continue to release and let go of all that heaviness that does not serve you. Be light. Allow the rainbow to light up your heart and shoot it out to the world. We have been a bit out-of-whack lately. Things have been a bit rocky and emotional. Don’t deny anything. What has happened has happened. Accept it fully and let it go. You are not your past, or your mistakes in life. We were MADE to make mistakes, it is the whole concept of our incarnation on Earth. It’s ok to be imperfect. It is our design. Striving to be better is all that matters. Be able to see your past for what it was, take the positive lessons, and move on. There is so much beauty we miss when we are wrapped up in lower emotions like guilt, stress, anger or fear. It’s time to let it go, so we can see the rainbows in life. So we can get lit up!! (Remember people!!! Light YOURSELF up!!!!) Rainbow Moonstone is known to grant wishes, so take a second now to thank it, and ask for that which your heart desires. Keep your heart open to see the wonderful, undeniable synchronicities that surround you every day. The more you love yourself, the more easily you can see the beauty in life, and find the rainbows through the storms. Let’s see what the cards say.

I can’t believe these cards, of all the cards! 2 of them are ones I have had repeatedly lately! I almost wanted to re-draw them, but how can I question Spirit! Keep yourself in your happy little bubble, and don’t let other people drag you down into those lower energies. Sometimes people just don’t fully understand, and it’s ok to have compassion for that. You can listen to the opinions and problems of others without absorbing them as your own. Take what is constructive for you, and leave the rest behind. Heaven and the Angels are holding you, surrounding you, asking you to love yourself and lift yourself up. They want you to light yourself up. To allow yourself happiness, and find the peace we seek. When stressful events or emotions come up, talk to a trusted friend. You will feel much better than if you were to keep those emotions pent up inside. Like the crystals said, face what comes up and do not try to deny your issues. Do your best to handle things as they come, knowing it’s all you can do, and try not to stress. Everything is all going to work out in the end.

Shielding – Although you may be strong at heart, your energy is among the most sensitive on the planet, which is why you feel so intensely in situations where others seem calm. For that reason, this card is asking you to energetically shield yourself from negativity. Know that the Angels are always around you, and they’re powerful auras are continually at your disposal for energetic shielding. Simply ask Heaven to surround you with Angelic light, and know that you’re spiritually and emotionally protected. Anytime you’re in a harsh situation, immediately request that the Angels shield you.

Talk About Your Feelings – This card means that you’ve been holding some feelings inside and need to let them out. When you talk or write about your feelings, you understand them better. Sometimes you don’t know how you really feel until you begin talking. It’s not healthy to hold in your emotions, especially anger or sadness. Find a trusted person who will listen to you, such as a friend, family member, or teacher. Let that person know that you need to talk, and tell them what you need. For instance, if you want them to listen without giving you advice, then let them know. If you want them to comfort you, then let them know. If you don’t have someone to talk to, or your feelings are so private that you don’t want to share them out loud, then you can write about them. You can also silently talk to your Angels or the unicorns. The listen to you with love, and help you feel better and find answers.

Boar (Pig) – Whatever difficulties you’re experiencing now, whether with a relationship, career path, or some other concern, dig in and rummage around until you discover how to solve the problem. Then take immediate action to remedy it. Every time you confront adverse situations in this way, you’ll be uprooting those elements in your life that appear to be obstacles to fulfilling your purpose. Life can sometimes be very uncooperative with your rational mind’s sense of order, and will at times even block your demands of how events or experiences should unfold. If you’re living on Earth you’re going to get your feet muddy sometimes, but it’s no call for panic, crisis, or drama. Instead take a couple of deep breath’s and view whatever problem you encounter as simply something that needs to be taken care of. As the saying goes, there really are no problems – only creative possibilities. Once you’ve emerged victorious – which means that you’ve either conquered your problem or changed your thinking about how you initially perceived the situation – you’ll experience a surge of power and confidence. Remember that your power originates from Source, expressed through you and as you. When you vanquish the illusion of the situation being a problem, you’ll not only feel a greater sense of relief and freedom, but you also open the way for your heart, mind, and soul to be more in alignment with the Will of Spirit. When you operate from that perspective, you can overcome anything! Weekly Angel Card Reading – Week of August 20, 2017

The crystals I am working with for the week are Rhodochrosite, Shattuckite and Mangano Calcite. I use these crystals to connect to your energy, to connect to the message meant for you, and to send the healing properties of the crystals to you. 

Rhodochrosite – Dispels insecurities, increases love, power, and improves self-worth. Enhances dreams and imagination. Helps us to face problems in a positive way without avoidance or denial. It balances and enhances love on all levels. It balances the mental and emotional processes. 

Shattuckite – A strong psychic communication stone. Facilitates a stronger connection with your Spirit guides, teachers, and loved ones that have passed on. Assists in the development of psychic visions, intuition, Mediumship and channeling. Assists with reconciliation and renewal. Used to channel information, particularly from extra-terrestrials, and is used for automatic writing. It is said to calm the mind and create harmony.

Mangano Calcite – Connects you to the Angelic Realm. Sometimes called the “Reiki Stone”, due to its healing capabilities. It amplifies energy in a gentle but powerful way. It is a calming stone that eases and heals the heart chakra. It fills the heart with universal and self-love. It offers hope for the best in all things. It is a nurturing stone that helps us take care of ourselves. It enables us to accept love and have self-love, and act with loving behaviours. It is a high powered stress reliever that relieves anxiety, stress and  tension. It heals trauma. It is used to remove fears of all kinds and reduces nightmares.

I don’t know about you guys, but I have been dreaming like crazy the last few nights! I also noticed myself daydreaming yesterday, so it’s funny to see that with the Rhodochrosite. There have been no nightmares either, so thank you Mangano Calcite! 😋 Everything I am seeing from the crystals is very aligned with the astrology and readings I have watched for this week. If you haven’t seen Nicole Oman on Facebook, I suggest you check out her weekly readings and specials. She is amazing and is some of the best guidance I receive. We are going into the Solar Eclipse tomorrow, and this is where we have the choice to face our issues, and decide how we are going to handle our lives going forward. This is a new starting point for us, and it’s all about how we handle it. Are you going to run and hide from the shadows? Or are you going to face them, and embrace them! Appreciate them, for their own beauty and relevance. The universe wants to communicate with us! It is begging us to find our self-love, so we can have the energy and vibration we need to communicate and evolve with the universe. The crystals are helping us manage some of the stress, tension and anxiety we may have going on. What should we do? Take care of yourself. Truly love yourself. Treat yourself. Make yourself laugh. Enjoy something just for you. Live your life. See yourself and your future in the most positive light, and choose to see that going forward. The time is now to move toward that new you! Your spiritual gifts and connection are awaiting you. Choose love always, and you will see it resonate in positive ways in your life. You don’t have to be perfect! Just do your best to make the most loving choices and behaviours that you can! If you are moving in a positive direction, it will continue to spin off in more positive ways. There is no reason to live in fear.. it just pulls you under… we are here to love! And the universe will fully support you when you live a positive life of love. Let’s see what the cards say! 

I’m gonna switch it up a bit this week, and choose from a few different decks. The By The Book card is asking you… What do you want for your future? Do you want to go by the book? Conform to other people’s expectations of you? Or do you want to blow that out of the water and start on your own path of freedom? If the Universe works on the Law of Attraction, then what has been working for you? What ways should you stick to what’s working? What makes you happiest? What makes you feel accomplished? What hasn’t been working? What pulls you down and throws you off? What changes can you make to positively impact your life going forward? I also feel like the book reference is a reminder for us.. to write stuff down, to make a plan. You want to workout regularly? Meditate regularly? Put it on your schedule and do it. Get yourself organized so your future can be that much smoother and more successful. There is gonna be lots of things coming at us, so it would be a good idea to get organized so you can cope with the stress better. As Nicole Oman said today, go about your day and do what you have to do, just do it with joy. The Protection Message of the By The Book card is truly perfect… Be authentically you with no regrets. You have special gifts that await you, that the mainstream might not fully understand yet, but that doesn’t give you the right to shy away from your true power… From what you know as truth. Greatness awaits you… You need to let go of the fear and stop conforming. This is a time of transformation, and I love how it says, “your intuition will lead you through the darkness”, how perfect for the eclipse!! Take today to think about what you really want, so you can make your plans, decisions and declarations on Monday during the eclipse. Weigh all your options and think about the best ways to move forward. Claim your right to be fully you, and be full of love. There is a lot of things going on right now, and they may be quite challenging and stressful. The Eight of Spring reminds us that we can successfully deal with any challenges that come our way. If we plan well, the multi-tasking can be that much easier. This card is so beautiful, as it represents all the wonderful things that are coming! Yes, we may have to juggle and be a bit stressed, but it is going to be because of all the amazing things happening in our lives. There are going to be many wonderful opportunities, so keep the positive energy flowing, and handle what comes your way. The crystals and Angels are helping us heal from any stress, and anxiety that we are experiencing from all this. Keep having faith and trust in the Universe, trust that the light will always return. Trust in the dawn. Beautiful light is coming, to shine on you so brightly. There is no turning back now. Just remember to love yourself and be positive, and the future will be all the more amazing. ❤️

By The Book – 

Essential Meanings: Abiding by social rules; conformity; respecting cultural or family customs; universal laws.

The Oracle’s Message: The Universe works within the structure of Divine laws and principles that provides a framework for human experience and evolution. The law of abundance, the law of prayer, the law of karma, the law of attraction, the law of thought, the law of compensation, and the law of nature are only a few that are known. These principles create perfect order and operate with a kind of precision beyond human understanding. Even revolution has its place in universal law. Human beings, in turn, have their own laws and customs that vary from culture to culture and family to family. Laws keep social order and govern behavior, reflecting an instinctive understanding that harmony is important. This is the time to learn these laws and conform to them, rather than being the rebel and flouting them. When this card appears, submit to structure and follow the rules even if they seem to make no sense. Release resistance, for universal laws will correct any disharmony. Relationship Message: Getting along with others entails understanding and respecting who they have become as a result of their environment, culture, and experience. Find the middle ground that allows the relationship to flourish while honouring the individuality of the other person. Play things by the book instead of trying to break the rules or pressure others to conform to the way you want to do them. Your connection will deepen as a result.

Prosperity Message: At this time, you can expect a return on your investment. Whatever you have pursued – be it a dream you’ve long cherished, a skill you’ve cultivated, or a service your called to – will come to you if you’re willing to go by the book. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel to be successful. Follow in the footsteps of others who have already achieved the things you’re striving for. You can learn a lot by observing the structures that are already working. Your creative projects and commitment to prosperity are in alignment with the needs of the world, but impatience may tempt you to cut corners to get there more quickly. Stick with what you know works, and you will attract abundance.

Protection Message: Now is the time for a real change in consciousness as you are incited to revolt. Challenge the structures that are limiting authentic progress. It is not enough to rebel in small ways – this is a call to revolution! Focus on what you really want to achieve, regardless of whether it feels so far outside the box that the established order may reject it. Genius, invention, and transformation are rarely comfortable, and less likely to be accepted by the mainstream. It maybe time for you to say no to the way of your group, take a stand, and make real changes. It could be that the structure of your inner world is alerting you to the need for a complete overhaul. This is a time for transformation, so let go of the fear of change. Your intuition will lead you through the darkness. There is no turning back now. Trust that light will dawn. Epiphanies will surely lead to miracles.

Think About It – This card asks you to step back from your current path or thought process and review the situation you’re asking about. There’s an unseen aspect, and the Angels guide you to slow down so you can move forward with the whole picture in sight. This card can also be cautionary, if you were about to make a radical change impulsively. While it still may be the best path, this card asked you to look into the alternatives first. You are exquisitely sensitive to energy, and your mission is to heal and transform negative energy into positive. However, there’s always a better way to do so. This card ask you to research your options for making helpful changes that are part of your life’s mission.

Eight of Spring – There are many varieties of stress. This card reflects the kind that comes from having a lot of wonderful things in your life at once! You may be juggling a family, new career opportunities, seeing to your fitness, decorating your home… Of course, you wouldn’t wish away any of these lovely things, yet it’s a great deal to have on your plate! This is the card of successful multitasking. If things have been quiet for you, expect to see a big increase in the action. Make sure you have every task prioritized. Whenever possible delegate items from your to-do list to others. And be grateful for all the wonderful things in your life while you juggle them. Our fairy in the image tries to simultaneously manage eight magical dandelions. It’s a lot to handle at once but thankfully the dandelions represent wishes come true! Additions meanings of this card: Being confident! Sudden events or rapid changes. Instantaneous results. Business travel.

My Crystals – Selenite 

  

Selenite Pyramid – Since ancient times, pyramid-shaped objects have been used to elevate consciousness through meditation, increase well being, preserve life forces, and harmonize energies of places and people. Pyramids generate negative ions that have a balancing effect on the electromagnetic field of the body. Selenite crystals help to remove all energy blockages in the body. It can also remove energy blocks in the bodies of other crystals and stones. This makes it excellent for enhancing the properties of other stones and for clearing and charging them.
