My first feeling of this week’s reading is that things are much lighter and more positive when compared to the last 2 weeks. A new month, new beginnings, right! It feels like we are finally getting out of the slump, letting go of what truly doesn’t serve us, and moving closer to the directions of our dreams. While it is easy to get caught up in letting our dreams go wild (winning the lotto, scoring our dream job, etc.) these cards remind us to stay grounded, stay present and balance our responsibilities, while at the same time, working toward a life more congruent with our highest purpose. Life is good, right here and now, so stay grounded. Be happy with what you have, and be happy with the realistic you that you are! You don’t need to win the lottery to have all the best clothes, plastic surgery, houses and cars to define who you are, or how happy you should be. There is so much beauty in everyday, and all you have to do is recognize it, appreciate it, and you’ll see more and more. Open your heart to the blessings that exist all around us, and you will feel life flow more easily.

Release and surrender – not only is this a card that we are releasing the challenges of our past, but it’s a card that showers us with blessings. You have been trying to fix this situation single-handedly. The Angels want to help you, but first you need to surrender and release the situation. Surrender simply means your tired of struggling. It means emotionally letting go, with faith that the Divine wisdom of Spirit (which includes your higher self) can assist you to get onto a higher path. Surrender does not mean to give up, or that you want to be controlled. Through surrender, you’ll be assured of a better outcome, with Divine assistance. The act of releasing a situation and not stressing over it, tells the universe you are evolved and ready to move up in the spiritual realm. It shows your faith and trust in Spirit, and a love for yourself which is most important. Don’t worry about how your prayers will be answered, just know they will. Be willing to ask God and the Angels for help. It doesn’t have to be anything particular, just loving sincere thoughts are all you need. Release the tension and need to control, and things will go better. Avoid power struggles in your relationships. Simply own your power, and you won’t have to fight for it. 

Change in direction – this card signifies you’ve had a change of heart that has altered the direction of your life in a positive way. Your old ways of living no longer interest you. You desire a lifestyle and/or career that will better fit your new interests and passions. The Angels are guiding you through this time of transition. Keep you mind positive and the law of attraction will ensure that you’ll manifest wonderful new opportunities and relationships. This could be symbolic of a new phase of your life. You may be birthing a new project. Pregnancy, birth or adoption of a child is possible. A new element of your life is a blessing, even if it doesn’t make sense right now. 

Ground yourself – this card is a signal that your energy and attention need to be grounded. If you’ve been feeling spacey, confused or forgetful, this card speaks to the reason. “Ungroundedness” means that your attention is directed up too high – as if your not in your own body. A balance is needed between a focus on spirit and a focus on Earth. Ground yourself by walking barefoot on grass or soil, by eating foods from the ground, by rubbing your bare feet, by touching a tree or plant, or by visualizing roots coming from the bottom of your feet into the Earth. Grounding will help you better concentrate and focus, and will also increase your connection to the Angels. Spend time gardening. (I was just googling winter gardening yesterday!) Work with flower essences. Adjust your diet and lifestyle habits so they support your mental and physical awareness. Be down to Earth and authentic in your relationships. Send love and light to Mother Earth. (Simply visualize the Earth and visualize a loving pink or white light surrounding the planet.)
